Oily skin require proper cleansing with warm water regularly, exercise and good sleep.


The skin we have says a lot about who we are and this is why so many people do all they can to look their best. From ages people are aware of skin care. From the monarchy period to high tech period, people follow different ways to care for their skin. The classification of skin can be done broadly in three types which are normal, dry and oily skin. Oily skin looks shiny and having pimples as well as uncomfortable blemishes. There are many causes for oily skin. Some of them are cosmetics which you apply, hormone levels, contraceptives and pregnancy, diet which you follow and also the weather conditions have effect on your skin. Some cases heredity may also be the cause for this.

Oily skin has enlarged pores and sebaceous glands become overactive and secrete more oil. During adolescence stage this is a common problem and also for women during hormonal changes, menopause and pregnancy increases the activity of the sebaceous gland. The aging process is little slowly visible in this type of skin. Oily skin requires unique cleansing with lot of Luke warm water and perfect soap in order to stop the pores from clogging. Many people use harsh products to wipe the extra oil, but this leads to the temporary dryness and may cause permanent damage to your skin causing flakiness. Such skin again becomes overactive to recompense for loss of natural oils and cause seborrhoea.


To avoid oily skin do not take animal or vegetable fat, fried items like finger chips, also avoid soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, junk food, excess sugar items like chocolates. Try to use olive oil in salads. To care for oily skin the best way is to go with natural ingredients. Some of the chemicals can cause skin damage or other side effects. The other way to take required items that give best results in suppressing excess oil content into your skin, in your daily schedule of balanced diet and add a diet rich in proteins but restricted in sugar, fluids, salt, leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.

Application of aloe vera topically gives excellent results. Lavender also gives best results when you moist your skin with its water. Burdock root, oat straw, chamomile, and horsetail give nourishment to your skin. For absorbing oil witch hazel can be used. In general regular massage skin areas with apple cider vinegar for a neutralizing effect and massage of body rejuvenates the skin and stimulates circulation. Exercise and good sleep will have good effect on skin. Regular exercise pushes toxins present underneath the skin while sweating normalize circulation of blood. Oily skin care include primrose oil supplement. It contains gamm linolenic acid it’s an essential fatty acid which keep skin moist as well as strengthen skin cells. The best care for oily skin is not to use lotions or else cleansers which contain alcohol. Then after cleansing use natural oil free moisturizer to make skin supple. Choose your cleanser that suites you and do not use heavy cleansing creams and hard soaps or cleansers. Use a pure soap with no artificial additives to keep your skin look young and rich always.
