People who have oily skin are more prone to getting acne than the others.
Those who have oily skin must make it a point to try and keep the skin pores from getting blocked with dead cells and oil. This oil is normally secreted by the sebaceous glands, which tend to secrete more oil when there is a hormonal change in the body.
Normally during teenage years, the levels of the hormones change and the male hormones called androgens cause the sebaceous glands to secrete oil. The secretion of oil increases at this time, and causes acne to break out. The oil otherwise acts a lubricant when the androgens are in proper levels in the body.
Those who have oily skin and acne, must make it a point to regularly wash their face with a good soap during the day.
Failing to do so, may result in a breakout of more acne, and the wound areas will be more infected. Oily soaps make up and lotions must also be avoided. A good astringent must be used to remove excess oil.
The entire make up must be removed while going to bed, as this will help the skin to breathe.
Lotions and other creams must be avoided at night, as this will only increase the collection of oil in the skin. If you have oilskin, and are suffering from acne, you must also keep your diet in check.
Too much of iodine must not be consumed, as this can only increase the secretion of oil from the oil glands.
For those who have oily skin, it is best to avoid moisturizers when they have acne disorders. Sunscreen that is oily must also be avoided. Warm water should be used on the face when washing, so that it removes oil to an extent.
Stress levels must also be controlled when you have acne and oily skin. Not controlling stress levels will increase the chance of more acne breakouts. Consuming a lot of water, with fresh vegetables and fruits is a very good way to control inflammation of acne.
