Teen Acne: What Is The Best Advice?


Acne will first break out during the teenage years. It will be absolutely no fault of anybody’s.

During puberty, the sex hormones called the androgens will maintain an uneven level in the body. This causes the sebaceous glands to secrete more oil than usual. This excess oil combines with dead skin cells to cause acne breakouts.

This disorder can be very hard to handle physically and emotionally during the teens. Physically, the acne can make the skin look very ugly, and teenagers will have a hard time facing this problem.

Emotionally they can get very depressed during this stage, as they will face a lot of peer pressure look good. During this time, it is very important for the parents to support their children, and also see to it that good friends surround them.
