Acne Cure: Fact or Fiction
September 2, 2010

Almost everyone has suffered from acne at one point or another and usually that suffering comes along just in time for a major event in your life. Everyone who has ever had a breakout at the exact wrong time or just lived with the teasing and torment of classmates over recurring acne have been in search of an acne cure; but is there really a such thing?

Is There Really An Acne Cure?

Truth be told there is not an acne cure that has yet been offered up to the general public and it doesn't appear to be one anywhere around the next corner either because acne is caused by various things such as stress, hormones, diet, pregnancy and yes even the soap you use.

To find an acne cure would be difficult because acne is an individual problem but there are ways to treat acne and help keep it under some kind of control. As everyone knows cleansing your skin is important but did you know that using chemicals that are too harsh or too oily can actually cause you to have more breakouts? Use a mild soap that does not contain oils that will clog your pores; clogged pores cause acne.

If you use a moisturizer check the ingredients as this is often one of your main acne causing products. There are many products on the market that will help control your acne keep in mind none of these products are an acne cure but they can help keep your skin clean and healthy which will reduce your number of breakouts. You can also consult your doctor for various prescription options to help control your acne as well.

The only true acne cure is to discover what the core cause of your individual acne might be. If you find that your acne is caused by an allergy then you will have your acne cure simply by eliminating the irritant from your diet, environment or whatever the cause may be.

If your acne is hormonal your doctor may be able to offer you an acne cure in the form of something that may balance your hormones a bit better and keep the acne away. Remember unless there is a medical condition that is causing your acne there may not be an acne cure for you but it can be controlled to a tolerable or barely noticeable level.

Before starting any treatment, always consult your doctor and if you are pregnant consider that anything that is absorbed through your skin is absorbed into the blood stream and to your unborn baby, never start any treatment without knowing all the risks to both yourself and your baby.
