Acne is one of those skin disorders that affects many people and it vary from mild acne to severely disfiguring acne. In general acne is treated as a hormonal disease. Hormonal acne will effect on lives of teenagers as well as adults. The starting symptom of acne is irritated by the formation of hormones that is known as androgens. Creation of androgens stimulates sebaceous glands that cause them to make bigger inside the body. A person is suffering from hormonal acne that is due to sebaceous glands, which are over activated. Usually, many girls and boys are entered into puberty at the age of ten to fifteen during that time they get hormonal acne. The high stimulation of sebaceous glands produce more sebum that is a natural oil cause's skin will be soft and waterproof. And oily sebum is collected in follicle by itself as going through the hair shaft in upward directions and blended itself with normal bacteria of the skin and skin cells of the dead follicular. Generally, dead cells are driven to the skin surface where they expelled. If more sebum is produced, there is a more possibility to stop the follicles developing then the result will be pimples. Usually, hormonal treatment won't applicable in case of severe conditions of acne like cystic or nodular acne. Most of the treatments for acne are required extensive care that is from few months to several years. Once you recovered from the acne even though you are required to maintain the dose as specified by the doctor. Women who suffer with adult acne, they have more problems for several years and commonly through menopause.

Modalities are making use of antiandrogens (flutamide or spironolactone) or oral contraceptives in the treatment of hormonal acne. It is normal to start the treatment for two to three months. Sometimes, by varying menstrual cycle that is sufficient to end the acne. There is a medicine called spironolactone, which is mainly used for people who suffer with blood pressure. Presently it is to be used for treatment of acne as well as hair growth problem in few women. Actually flutamide and spironlactone are stopping the testosterone effects on the hair follicle and oil glands but usage of spironolactone is being varied in different personalities. However, the treatment goal is to control the acne with therapy and then maintain that treatment as long as needed, with the lowest dose, which controls the problem. And there is some type of treatment is needed until menopause.
